Noah's Ark in the Local Community

A Key Part of the Local Community

We meet in the All Saints Centre on the High Street at the heart of Weston Village and see ourselves very much as part of the local community.

We often have local people coming in to talk to the children including a postman, fireman, policeman, lollipop lady, nurse and rector.

We also have wonderful links with the local library, shops and All Saints Church where twice a year we take a leading role in the Sunday morning Family Service.

We also hold our Christmas concert and Summer Graduation in the beautiful two hundred year-old church building.

The recent concert held in the church was a clear example of how dedicated this setting is to ensuring that children are happy and confident with all of the children singing and signing and dancing beautifully.

The Christmas Concert was a joy for parents and Grandparents. A very warm welcome was provided by the community to us all.

Fundraising

Each year we actively support a different charity e.g. Forever Friend’s Appeal, Food Bank and Meningitis. Last year we took part in the nationwide Barnardo’s Sponsored Toddle event.

These events often link to our topics and raise the children’s awareness of the wider world.

Community Links

We have formed links with the All Saints 3TL group which is a monthly gathering for people over 65. Twice a term we are invited to take part in small group activities where some of the 3TL members read stories to us.

Students

We often have students in for work experience including Norland Nannies. This has always been successful and highly beneficial to the children and the students.
